This registration will let you choose from one of our 2 hour lessons offered in summer 2024.

General Event Information

Learn to Play (Intro) – The DCA will be offering Introduction to Pickleball lessons in June. Rande Mergerenn is the IPTPA Pickleball Instructor that will introduce you to one of the fastest growing sports in the world.  You’ll learn the history of the game and within the 2 hour session, you’ll go from the basics to playing full Pickleball matches on your own!

Recreational (Novice) – The DCA will be offering Recreational (Novice) lessons in August. This Recreational Novice class is for players who have taken an Intro or Learn to Play class and have played a number of games. Sessions will cover the basics of the ready position, dinking, serves and serve returns, forehand and backhand groundstrokes, volleys, lobs and smashes, and basic playing strategies.  This Recreational Novice class is for players who have taken an Intro or Learn to Play class and have played a number of games. Rande Mergerenn is the IPTPA Pickleball Instructor who will expand on and observe players’ strokes and suggest corrections to develop and improve their skills.

We provide the paddles, balls and other equipment. You provide court shoes, athletic clothes and be prepared to have fun!

These are small sized classes with a maximum of 8 individuals. Once a 2 hour time slot reaches the maximum of 8 student registrations, the time slot will be sold out.

Learn to Play (Intro) Lessons

• Saturdays: June 1, June 8 – 2:30PM – 4:30PM
• Sundays: June 2, June 9 – 2:30PM – 4:30PM
• Tuesdays: June 4, June 11 – 6:00PM – 8:00PM

Recreational (Novice) Lessons

• Saturdays: Aug 10, Aug 17 – 2:30PM – 4:30PM
• Sundays: Aug 11, Aug 18 – 2:30PM-4:30PM
• Tuesdays: Aug 13, 20 – 6:00PM – 8:00PM

Cost: One 2-hour session will be $50.00

Location: Dalhousie Community Center tennis court located at 5432 Dalhart Road NW
