The Dalhousie Community Association’s Planning and Development Committee is a group of community volunteers who review all City planning applications and submit comments to the City as appropriate. Resident feedback is encouraged for ALL development in the community and your comments matter! Comments can be submitted to the Committee through

Our community is undergoing rapid change.  The DCA receives Development Permit applications from the City on a regular basis for new development, additions and secondary suites. We post applications received on this website but are not permitted to post the accompanying plans or distribute them via email; plans are available to residents to view at the community center during office hours. Please call ahead to ensure the specific plans you wish to review are available. Also note that copies and/or photographs of the plans is NOT permitted as per the Copyright Act, however you can make notes.

Two major developments have been approved by Calgary City Council in Dalhousie — Dalhousie Coop by Quarry Developments and a highrise residential/commercial project adjacent to Dalhousie LRT by Birchwood.

  • Density: to a maximum of 1,200 residential units in phases
  • Floor Area: 5.5 FAR or approximately 825,000 SF (77,000 SM)
  • Building Height: approximately 110 metres plus mechanical penthouse
