Ice Rink Volunteers Needed
We need your help with the Ice Rink behind the Dalhousie Community Association building. Volunteers help flood the rink and clear snow. We will teach you how to use the snowblowers and self-propelled sweeper. A skid steer loader clears the rink when there is a lot of snow.
A typical shift is 60-90 minutes. In November we will have a scheduling meeting with all of the rink volunteers. With enough volunteers, everyone will have one shift per week.
We plan to flood the rink in late November or early December (depending on the weather) and maintain it until mid-March.
