Dalhousie Repair Exchanges for 2025

The Repair Exchange is a free program where Individuals can learn how to repair broken household items alongside the help of a community member.

*Please note that the repair exchange does not accept items that are ‘dropped-off’ and individuals must stay with their items and participate in the program to benefit from the repairs.

Please keep in mind that not every item can be repaired, as some may require new parts. If that’s the case, our fixers will help identify the issue and guide you on how to fix it yourself or let you know if it needs specialist attention.

The DCA is hosting 4 repair exchanges this year at the DCA. These are open to everyone wanting to give items a second life and you will learn new skills at the same time.

  • Saturday, May 3 – 3:30-7:30pm
  • Thursday June 12 – 3:30-7:30pm
  • Thursday August 14 – 3:30-7:30pm
