The Auditorium

The Auditorium is the largest room at the Dalhousie Community Centre. With an area of 3420 square feet, this room is ideal for wedding receptions, fundraisers, company gatherings and parties, markets, tradeshows, birthday parties, and other large events or gatherings. The Auditorium’s amenities include ceiling-mounted speakers, projector, and a large projector screen. Our renters have access to stage pieces, microphones, chairs, and a variety of circular and rectangular tables. As with all of our room rentals, setup of tables, chairs and stage pieces is included. Please note we do not supply tablecloths, chair coverings, or decorations.

The typical capacity for the Auditorium is around 250 people, depending on the set-up. For events which do not require tables, stage pieces, or dance floors, the capacity may be as high as 296 people.

Rental Pricing

All events over 3 hours are subject to event rates only. Rental contracts are issued based on facility availability and event requirements.

Events under 3 hours are eligible for the hourly rate.

Any 1-3 hour rental requesting significant set up may be subject to a set-up fee. For extensive set-up requirements, renters will be required to pay the flat rate.

*Note: The DCA may require renters to provide event insurance which would need to be obtained from an insurance provider (DUUO offers Event Insurance)

**Note: All events with alcohol are required to provide the DCA with a copy of their AGLC Liquor License and Event Insurance.
